Soil Mouldhands is a serie of furniture handles made of recycled aluminium.
After collecting several hundreds of aluminium tins, and saving them from a garbage future, I melt them in an hoven I built under the soil.
I used the soil itself to make their molds. Lot of molds.
As we know nature shapes itself naturally, organically.
In the same way, we give plenty power to the nature to decide the final shape of our Soil Mouldhand pieces.
The outcoming texture depends on the kind of soil, the percent of humidity, the presence of clay or sand or even little stones or broken twigs.
Sometimes we should find out little bubbles on the surface. Sometimes just an irregular surface or a smooth one.
Nothing personal, it all depends on the earth.
Soil Mouldhands comes out in three different shapes:
-an organic-irregular one
-a pre-shaped irregular trapezium
-a circular one in double size and double face
